The staff were very friendly and helpful. Well proportioned room
Cheap skate attitude toward guests. No proper heating/ventilation. Cheap inadequate bedding. Worst breakfast in the world
I thought the distance from the car park to the reception was an imposition considering we were carrying luggage etc..The cold weather didn't help.Entrance to the hotel hard to locate
Position was easy for city centre access and was excellent value for money.
Room was clean and comfortable.
The tv set in room did not work very well. The breakfast choice was poor
We liked the price the cleanliness of the rooms and the location to the city centre
Cleanliness of room
Being in the leisure complex it was very noisy during the evening (Saturday). There were only two lifts, one of which was out of action (and apparently had been for several days prior to our visit). Since my wife has difficulty walking, the fact that we could not drive up to the entrance to the hotel but had to walk, with our cases, from the car park was lesss than ideal.
The location of the Hotel and how easy it was to get parked and walk to the hotel. The price was excellent considering breakfast was included for 2 people.
The bar prices are on the expensive side
Reception staff very friendly, and had the good sense not to broadcast my room number to all and sundry, but rather to point to the printed details .... I wish all hotel receptionists would learn this basic skill, for security reasons. Location was convenient for St George's Hall.
Sofa bed cover was grubby and stained. The old crt-tv was stuck on one channel, not much better after the (friendly/prompt) technician brought a new remote and batteries. Non-opening window - no ventilation. Taps leaked over countertop whenever turned on. Toilet didn't flush properly. Breakfast service hopelessly inadequate to cope with busy times - tables weren't being cleared, and they ran out of glasses, cutlery, yoghurts, eggs, sausages and bread, with very long waits for replenishment of each item. Chilled fruit juice in hot glasses defeats the purpose of chilling the juice! I had expected a better standard from a Holiday Inn, and was most disappointed.
Perfect location. Close to the city center, train/bus station, cinema and restaurants.
The room that i choose was nice and specious, but the little radiator inside the room was struggling to make and keep room warm enough for me. Especially at this time of the year.
Room was a good size and clean. Shower worked well.
Heating in the room was wholly inadequate - small electric heater only. This was insufficient even when it had been on for several hours. Also there should be a blanket in the room - without the need to request it - the duvet is too thin and I awoke in the early hours because of feeling cold (even with the heater on!)
not to the same standard as your lincoln city city hotel
Very clean & very good value for money.
Car park charges - no discount if going out for the day.
It was located next to a cinema and some restaurants. Although breakfast was served from 6a.m, the receptionist arranged for us to have some breakfast at 5.30 am.
Mattress was to old, as soon as you sat on it, it sagged underneath. Window was not well isolated, you could hear people talking and shouting when they walked past eventhough we stayed a few stories hig. Two small lifts and they were slow. Holiday Inn claimed to have spacious rooms, our room was small.
Cheap, easy to find
Carparking was not well labelled, little bit noisy. Breakfast was terrible.
